2008 Fall Season By-Laws

As the 2008 season winds down and the fall season get closers I would like to continue to have tournaments from September till November. I will be offering tournaments at Dupree Park on the weekends listed below. These by-laws will be used for all tournaments in the fall including the Fall States.

1. With eight teams or more I will give $500.00 per tournament away to the winning team. If there are less than eight teams the amount will be adjusted accordingly.
2. Entry fee will be $250.00 per team (cash only).
3. Teams may consist of player’s from the Upper D, Lower D, and E class.
4. Georgia ISA rules and regulations will govern these tournaments.
5. Teams will be allowed to play in a one homerun division or three homerun divisions with the inning ending out. The run spot will be 6 and you hit your own homeruns. You will not have to run the homeruns out.
5A. The only homerun change will be in the fall States where I am offering a one homerun (9/20), two homerun (11/11), and 3 homeruns (11/18).
6. Teams have the option for playing with 11 defensive players.
7. Extra innings will be one pitch.
8. You must turn in a roster before your first game.
9. If there’s no roster turned in then your team will be thrown out of the tournament.
10.  Any ISA approved ball may be used.
11. Run Rules: 15 After 3, 12 after 4, and 10 after 5 innings.
12. Players ejected from the 5th inning till the 7th will have to sit out that game and the next game. Players ejected before the 5th inning will only sit out that game.
13. Bad language will not be tolerated. The F-word, GD, BI, MF, SOB, S-word, BS, and the N word will not be tolerated. Using any of these words will cause ejections from the game without any warning.
14. There may be a grace period for the first game of the day 15 minutes if the director chooses. This is not each team’s first game only the first game scheduled.
15. You don’t have to run out the homeruns. This will take away the protest on the base running.

Seriously?? A disgrace to softball?? Come on now, these guys are just like the rest of us out there on saturdays...HAVING FUN, PLAYING BALL, and seeing friends. I hope we get a full 12 team tournament with all the best teams in ISA. The teams playing this weekend are not by any means bad teams at all. You want my opinion, I hope they play ISA, I enjoy playing against them. My record against them you may ask? 0-1...do I hate them? no. Direct quote from "I say oops" Play good teams, makes you better! Do they have friends in ISA? Believe it, they do. A lot of teams and players ARE friends with them. I hope they play a lot of ISA in 09. People say they ran from ISA after being bumped, how many UD tournaments made? Exactly...ask the other UD teams that had to go elsewhere to play. I can tell you next year, just from talking to directors, UD is going to be what LD was this year. For the teams that play the messengers, all I can tell you is this...you better play hard all 7 innings, because you can bet your ass they will. I have been on both sides of the fence, by having played with them and against them and can tell you that much.

Messengers, I can tell ya, are NEVER desperate for players, I lucked up and had 2 weekends off with X-factor and went to U-trip and played with them. Yeah im playing this weekend, didn't think i was going to, but i will be there...kev check your messeges, got a player interested in your squad.

I've played with them and against them. Enjoy the competition and the trash talking. They are a great group of guys to play with also. For the people who get mad at the talking get over it and don't take it so seriously. Welcome to ISA fella! Glad to have you.
