2nd Annual Joe Boyd Classic - Sept. 25th - Lamar Murphy Park - Jefferson, GA.

There will be a benefit tournament @ Lamar Murphy Park in Jefferson, GA on September 25, 2009. This tournament will benefit the Challenger Little Leaugue of North GA. This little leaugue is for kids of various ages who suffer from mental and physical handicaps. This league takes money to operate as well as to participate. Some of these kids are not able to participate due to the overwhelming cost of medical bills and supplies that these kids have to have in order to live day to day. Than when you factor in the current state of the economy, it's near about impossible for some of these kids to be able to play. We are just trying to help put a smile on another kids face. We take it for granted that we can go out and play ball every weekend and function from day to day like we do. These kids will humble you and make you thankful for what you have. So, with that being said, please come out and participate in our tournament. If you don't play and would like to volunteer contact me and we will fit you in somewhere. We will need umpires, scorekeepers, and concession stand workers. We will be on 2 fields so this should go pretty quick. 1st place will recieve t-shirts and a plaque. 2nd and 3rd place will recieve plaques. Here is some more info. Thanks in advance.

-5 innings or 30 mins.

-unlimited homeruns
-no ultras or titaninums
-you can bat 12
