I can see Hank getting Lanier ready, but Metro is gonna be a flood. I honestly hope they call it if the fields are iffy, you cant play ball in a pond.

We did at Dillenger about 4 or 5 years ago.....is was a joke to walk out in the outfield and have water come in over the top of your high tops.  Our second baseman had to play his position in the middle of a 10-15 foot wide pond.

Yeah.....that sounds like no fun at all. If you cant play the game correctly, they need to call it off.

I just heard the rain won't stop until midnight now so I am thinking the fields will be horrible.

I am only 10 min from metro right now, not raining at all. Rain is suppost to be done. I am going to go by the fields if I get a chance. I think we will play.

Don't get me wrong, I want to play, but they should give teams a choice wheather or not they want to play or not when conditions are real bad. I mean safty first we all have to go to work Monday morning.

Talked to Jeff around 4:30 and they are starting to do what they can to fields 3,4,5, & 6 to have them as ready as possible for in the morning.

If I was to hear anything different it will be posted - so if no news then lets plan on getting to play.

As I was getting this ready to post - I got the chance to talk to Jeff again and he said that they still plan to have them ready if at all possible. Again, he will let me know if anything changes and I will get word out ASAP if that is the case.
