If this tourney is called the South Atlantic recreational Championship, why did the LE teams have to go to the South Atlantic Championship in Cartersville? These tourneys have the same name, almost. Are they not going to call it a world tourney? That would seem to make since or the LE teams just got tricked into paying for a tourney at Cartersville.

The tournament in Cartersville was the South Atlantic National. Each state has there own way of qualifing teams to advance. In Georgia you must play in State and National to advance to any World Series or Championship Play in men's play.
The one in Cherokee is for only hand picked teams by the Directors from the surrounding states and our goal is this Rec Championship to be a very balanced tournament. If this works out I feel this will become the REc World Series and in terms it is, but if it is the REC World Series by name, then we would be forced to let teams in from all states and we would have very little control on what teams the Northern  Eastern, and Western States would send. This is why we are keeping it under control for the first few years to make sure all teams that come have an equal chance of winning.

We are going to draw the bracket up Sunday evening - I should have start times posted by 10:00 pm Sunday night.  That should give everyone plenty of time to get ready.

Not sure about the champ game time yet - BUT I would guess around 3:00.   As soon as I finish drawing it up I will let you know.

No - all the teams at your game time will draw to see who they play.  Opponents have not been set - JUST game times.
