Guys

How awesome would this be?  No more Metro!

http://www.ajc.com/news/gwinnett/can-sports-facility-transform-604961.html

Is there anyway we can help make this happen.....like signing a letter of backing to the City of Lilburn?

Let's support this thing full force!

would be awesome.... Men's Adult Softball would NEVER seen one tournament on the fields....

Reasons Being:

Not willing to pay the im sure insane field costs to rent it..... because they won't make a profit...
they don't want men's softball because they will make like 10 bucks on gate fees since you never see any fans out there.....

Girls Fastpitch and Youth Baseball will be all that's played on it... because they can charge all the familys that come and watch their kid play ball....

I hope it does work though... but in the end you will still be playing at metro...

Most of the tournaments at Fields of Dreams the entry fees run from $400 to $550 a team for double elimination

Stop dreaming Dove, just another venue you would not get to play at due to your upper level status!

Theres a big park coming to Cherokee county within a few years i believe. It will have baseball fields, softball fields, (mens and girls) tennis courts, basketball courts, pool, everything. I work for the county and have seen this being displayed on a poster board in the rec center.

For once I will agree with G4G, that is exactly where the money is, fast pitch girls softball and rightfully so. Who wants to hear a bunch of grown men gripe about stupid stuff when you can cater to the girls and not hear anything negative ? Men's softball is coming to an end, sad to say !

The idea of a big park in Cherokee Co. at one time was Twin Creeks in Woodstock. When it was opened for youth girls they said in the next few years they were adding baseball, football and adult softball fields but now 6 years later they say they just don't have the funds for it.
