The idea of a big park in Cherokee Co. at one time was Twin Creeks in Woodstock.When it was opened for youth girls they said in the next few years they were adding baseball,football and adult softball fields but now 6 years later they say they just don't have the funds for it.

If they do not playin a competitive tournament ot two before they go it it will 0-2 for most all of them |

GA ISA Fall Men's Program & Tournament Information
Special Rules: All guidelines pertaining to the Men’s Program will be followed, with the following exceptions. 1. All tournaments will be classified as one (1) homerun or three (3) homerun divisions. In the one (1) homerun classification you may have three (4) players Lower D program and in the three (3) homerun division you may have up to 4 players from the Upper D division. Players from the summer season will not be reclassified down for the fall season. If an equalizer the higher class team will spot 4 runs to the lower classification and each team will hit 2 homeruns. 2. The same injury and ejection rule that is in place during the summer season will be used in the fall tournaments. 3. All tournaments will be a minimum of double elimination with the option of what format will be used left to the discretion of the tournament director. All Fall Program teams must fill out a special Fall Program roster. You can print off a Fall Roster at www.softballgeorgia.com or fill one out at the fall tournament you play in. Player’s name, the name of the team, and the classification of the team each player last played for in the regular season before state tournaments for 2010 must be put on the fall roster. Players caught putting down false information or playing illegally will be ineligible from the GA ISA Fall Program this year. 4. Any ISA approved ball maybe used in the fall program and balls will be supplied by the teams playing in fall tournaments 5. ISA reserves the right to use the Fall Program to try any new rule or for any new equipment for the next season. 6. All games will be run on a 65 minute time limit with no new inning starting after the 65 minutes expires except one-pitch games. One pitch games will 5 innings or 35 minutes with 2 hrs per inning. Any extra inning games will be one-pitch. 7. Tournament entry fee will be $200.00 cash only except the Fall State which will be $250.00 cash only and one-pitch tournaments which will be $165.00 cash only. 8. All players were locked in class after Big Ten Series Final or State tournament if you did not qualify for the Big Ten for the purpose of classifications in 2011. No roster moves will be used for the 2011 teams. 9. Prize pacakages will be according to the number of teams in each bracket per weekend. |

Had a great turn out for the hit-a-thon for Chestatee High School fastpitch today. With that being said, the tourney for next Saturday Sept. 11, 2010, will have an entry fee of only $150 per team with 3 game guarantee. We have had some things donated and can lower the fee. Still have 3 spots left.

We will be having a mens benefit softball tournament on September 18 in Fairmount. All money will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure 3-day Breast Cancer Walk. Entry fee is $200.00 per team. First place team will receive $500.00. 1 and 1 count. 5 home runs then an out. 44 core ball will be used. No ultra, titanium or senior bats will be used. Based on city rules, pitching screen will be used. Tournament may possible start on Friday night the 17th based on the number of teams. To enter tournament please call Clay Townsend at 706-337-5793.
